Nature of Experience:
- Fly-in psychiatric consultations to North of Superior Programs, a designated Schedule 3 facility delivering a variety of services to the communities of the Thunder Bay area district east. Fly-in consultations are provided for the Mental Health Program. When it can be arranged, residents will accompany visiting psychiatrists providing office-based, psychiatric consultations to patients as well as professional consultation to the staff in North of Superior Programs’ Offices. Students will have an opportunity to observe the psychiatrist working, interact with the mental health workers in the office, view the medical facilities in the community, learn about northern under-serviced areas, and take part in interviews with patients
