As one of the oldest and well established Outreach communities, the Kenora site has required only limited service over the past twelve months. Dr. Phil Klassen visited on two occasions in November and December of 1998 to provide locum support. Negotiations with Dr. Zahlan, as regards the format that the Underserviced Areas Program service to their community might take are ongoing as they become regional coordinators of the very large areas serviced by the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. In 2001, there was 1 resident who made 1 one-month trip to Kenora representing 30 days spent in an underserviced area. Approximately 8 one-month resident electives per year are available through the Psychiatric Outreach Program.
