Agency Information:	Temiskaming Hospital is a primary care community facility designated as underserviced in psychiatry. The hospital's catchment area includes approximately 25,000 individuals. Residents defined within the catchment area come to the hospital for psychiatric clinic service.Visiting psychiatrists do not provide outreach psychiatric services. Psychiatric patients treated have ranged in age from pre-teens to the elderly. Conditions treated include depressive disorders, schizophrenia related, alcohol and drug related, bipolar affective disorder as well as other psychiatric disorders.
Collaborating Ontario Medical Schools:	University of Toronto Psychiatric Outreach Program Each visiting psychiatrist from the Psychiatric Outreach Program travels to New Liskeard on a regular basis two days per month. Psychiatric Outreach resident electives are available. University of Western Ontario Department of Psychiatry Dr. Gort passed away recently and we've not been able to find another psychiatrist to provide the service.
