The Psychiatric Outreach Program of the University of Toronto continues to consult this area actively through Nodin Counselling Services, the native run and staffed service in Sioux Lookout. Consultations were also continued in the remote communities north of Sioux Lookout. Some consulting has also been done within the Zone hospital. Those services have been presently provided by five psychiatric consultant and one psychology consultant. In 1998, a total of 264 patients were seen for 302 contacts. There were 86 days of consultation, though it should be noted that this include approximately 16 travel days. Resident electives are available.
