Outreach visits to Thunder Bay began in July, 1998. Dr. Anne Rose spent one month at Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, and Drs. Aileen Brunet and Joanne Sinai spent two weeks on the inpatient unit at the Makellar Division of the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in August. Each clinician is visiting on their own schedule.

Two-day electives are available to residents, funded by the Underserviced Area Program of the Ministry of Health. Residents must be supervised by University of Toronto faculty.

One-month electives are also available through NOMP (Northern Ontario Medical Programme) and residents are supervised by faculty on site.

A Royal College Core Rotation in General Psychiatry is now available.
