Windsor Regional Hospital

The Western campus of Windsor Regional Hospital is the site of a number of outpatient clinics including mood and anxiety, psychogeriatric and dual diagnosis. It is also the home of W-PEP, Dr. Len Cortese’s program for the treatment of on-going psychosis. Currently, to accommodate the transfer of 65 tertiary care psychiatric beds from St. Joseph’s Health Care to Windsor, a new state of the art health care facility located at this campus is planned.

Geriatric services: A member of the faculty, Dr. Mustafa Warsi works in a number of community based long term care facilities, assessing outpatients jointly with a social worker. The team provides psychiatric consultation for common problems such as behavioral manifestations of dementia and mood and anxiety disorders, with the advantage of seeing patients in their own environments and with the benefit of firsthand information from staff. The team also provides in service staff education.
